Mandibular joint disorders

If you experience pain during chewing or other movements of the mouth, this may be caused by a mandibular joint disorder. The jaw musculature and the cervical spinal musculature or the cartilage disc may be affected. Pathological changes to the mandibular joints, for example as a result of inflammation, accelerated or inhibited growth or arthrosis, can as a rule be reversed. In one of 20 cases, however, surgery is required. If possible, minimally invasive procedures are used to reduce impairments. We will gladly offer you advice on what to do in order to prevent surgery in the first place. However, should surgery be necessary, we will ensure that you will be able to chew and speak normally and pain-free again as quickly as possible.
